Here we will post useful gameplay tips you may or may not know.
CRAFTING[]
- Desolation has a custom crafting menu which can be accessed with SHIFT + I
- When in the crafting menu, you can use items by double-clicking them or selecting and clicking USE ITEM
- To craft, move items to the crafting table by dragging them there or selecting then clicking MOVE TO CRAFTING. If you have the correct combination of items in the crafting table, you will see a lift of possible items to craft. Click the item you'd like to craft and click CRAFT ITEM.
HEALTH, FOOD, & DRINK[]
- Broken legs can be healed with morphine or a splint. Splints can be crafted from Wood and Bandages.
- You can gather wood from a forest via the crafting menu if you have a hatchet.
- You can gather water from any body of water or a well. If you have a Canteen (Empty), drag it to the crafting table when near a water source and craft a Canteen (Not purified).
- Drinking non-purified water can make you sick (INFECTED). To cure INFECTED status, consume Antibiotics.
- To purify water, combine Canteen (Not purified) with Water Purification Tablets to make Canteen (Purified).
- You can also craft a Canteen (Purified) from a Canteen (Not purified) when you are near a fire or camp stove.
MISCELLANEOUS[]
- Advanced Movement lets you vault over objects and climb over walls, fences, and buildings.
- You must bind a key before being able to use Advanced Movement. Do so via the ESC menu.
- If you have some partially-filled magazines, press F4 to combine them.
- Having a Mobile Phone anywhere in your inventory will give you on-screen coordinates to air drops.
